TECHTALK: Utility Battery Storage Economics
Lithium-Ion battery technology has demonstrated significant improvements in recent years along with substantial reductions in costs. These changes, along with the need by electric bulk power grid for rapid-response resources, have created unique opportunities for the deployment of this technology at various levels of utility operations – including at the wholesale and retail levels. This presentation examines the economics of deploying battery energy storage at both utility and commercial “behind-the-meter”.
