Leveraging AMI Networks and Data

In a year-long effort, the Department of Energy convened utilities from across the United States to talk with each other about how they are using their AMI networks and data to optimize their systems and provide a better customer experience. This panel will feature electric cooperatives that have moved beyond their original business case of reducing meter reading costs and are now using the data to gain operational efficiencies and detect energy theft, saving both money and energy. You will learn how Choptank Electric Cooperative achieved a 5% reduction in demand during the summer peak by utilizing the advanced voltage monitoring capabilities of their AMI without installing any additional DA hardware.
