Second General Session

Dana Daniels – “The Funny Side of Magic”
In addition to cutting-edge technology, informational sessions and peer interaction, TechAdvantage 2008 also promises lots of laughs with Dana Daniels and his psychic parrot, Luigi. So put your pen, paper and notes aside, and enjoy this fun and unique performance.

With Luigi, Daniels has been called one the funniest comedy magic acts working today. Daniels has performed for a variety of organizations, including McDonalds and Lincoln Financial. In-between funny sight gags and poking fun at magicians, Daniels sets out to prove that his little green friend is truly clairvoyant.

Daniels has appeared on Evening at the Improv, the CBS Morning Program, Masters of Illusions, Lance Burton's Taking it to the Streets, and has opened for stars like Charo, Tony Orlando, Amy Grant & Vince Gill.

Closing General Session

Ken Schmidt, Former Harley-Davidson Communications Executive
For the closing general session, Ken Schmidt, former Harley-Davidson executive and communications guru, offers unconventional approaches to achieve extraordinary business results. Schmidt’s efforts in corporate positioning and media relations played a key role in the company’s amazing recovery in the early 1990s. At TechAdvantage 2008, he shares some of his unconventional wisdom and philosophy on business and life: “Never do what’s expected, make yourself as noticeably different as possible, and have a lot more fun than you’re supposed to.”

Schmidt joined Harley-Davidson in 1985 and served the company through the mid-1990s, appearing on network news programs that were curious about his non-traditional communications and customer relations approaches. During his tenure, many of his experiences came on the back of a motorcycle. He met with presidents and royalty, and partied with movie and music stars.
